The Coach of the Year award is given to a Head Coach that;
Respects everyone who is involved with the game and demonstrates good sportsmanship
Is concerned with the complete development of all their players
Is a positive coaching role model
Tries to become a better coach through education and training
Is able to improve the performance of the players and team they coach
Shares their expertise with the softball community

The Whitby Eagles are proud to announce that Whitby Eagles Founder Rosemary "Rosie" Theriault has been inducted into the Softball Canada Hall of Fame.
Beyond Whitby, Rosie has coached internationally and locally as the Senior Women’s Head Coach of The Whitby Eagles from 2010-2017, and won Softball Canada’s National Championships in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017.In 2000, she was presented with the Women of Distinction Award from the YWCA Durham, and was inducted into the Whitby Sports Hall of Fame in 2004

Along the way of her 40yr career in Softball, Rosie has received many awards, including the Queen’s 125th Anniversary Medal, YWCA Durham Woman of Distinction, PWSA Outstanding Service Award, PWSA Volunteer of the Year, Coach of the Year and Service Awards. She is also in the Ontario Ringette Hall of Fame, CNE Sports Hall (Softball), and the Israel Sports Hall of Fame Softball.

The Whitby Eagles play in the Central East Women's Fastpitch League. Watch for our teams as we travel to play against our neighbouring associations and compete for the league championship.
